Reference project Velobrix

On behalf of Telekom Deutschland GmbH, the INCA development team at ibes has developed a control unit for RWC Factory GmbH to electronically control bicycle parking facilities. Over 20 facilities throughout Germany are already equipped with an INCA® Velobrix Controller. This controls the individual bolts of the parking boxes, monitors their status and switches on the lights. The IT engineering team at ibes has also designed and implemented a central web application that makes it easy to manage, control and monitor the systems. The parking spaces are rented and paid for via a payment terminal with display, which is also supplied as a complete package by ibes. Presence monitoring is always used when it is necessary to register whether and which people are present in certain areas. At the same time, these systems can be used to detect a lack of presence and initiate countermeasures. An area can either be a building, a particularly sensitive section within a building, a closed area in the open air or a freely accessible perimeter around a specific object.

Depending on the intended use, the legal framework, the systems available for shared use and the budget, presence monitoring can be implemented using different technologies. While in some systems the reliable verification of the identity of the person being recorded is of the utmost importance, in another application scenario intuitive operation or fast recording may play an overriding role.

Time is money - especially in the construction industry. Therefore, precise and simple construction site time recording is crucial. Time recording should be quick and uncomplicated for the workers, while the HR department or controlling department saves a lot of work thanks to customizable processes. A solution with robust, mobile devices that work independently and flexible software that adapts to the needs of the company is ideal.

The system for construction site time recording can be operated either with cell phones, with the mobile Chronos terminals or a mixture of the two. With Chronos, time bookings are recorded at a terminal and transmitted via mobile radio to a portal that forwards the information to our IDICS time recording software. When recording on a cell phone, the times are forwarded to the construction site time recording software via a web server. In both cases, the IDICS construction site time recording software processes the bookings according to the stored models and exports the desired evaluations by email or via interfaces. 

Such a system for construction site time recording can be operated both as a cloud solution in a German data center and as an on-premise solution directly at the customer's premises.
